Mark DeSaulnier (Democratic Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing California's 10th Congressional District. He assumed office on January 3, 2023. His current term ends on January 3, 2025.

DeSaulnier created the “Future of Work, Wages, and Labor” initiative with three other Democratic congressmen to investigate and produce a legislative action plan on workforce issues. After two years, they released a report in 2018.
Before being elected to Congress, DeSaulnier served in both chambers of the state legislature. He was a member of the California State Senate, representing District 7 from 2008 to 2014, and the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2008.
DeSaulnier was also active in local politics, serving on the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors and as the mayor of Concord.
Mark DeSaulnier was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, and lives in Concord, California. DeSaulnier earned a B.A. in history from the College of the Holy Cross in 1974. His career experience includes owning a business and working as a probation officer, a truck driver, and a hotel services employee.
